Turkmen diplomats participate in the conference of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons


The delegation of Turkmenistan is taking part in the Fifth Review Conference of the Convention on the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, which is being held in The Hague, the Netherlands.
The delegation was headed by Ambassador, representative of Turkmenistan to the EU Sapar Palvanov, the country's diplomatic mission in Brussels reports.
During the conference, the member States of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) will assess the implementation of the Convention and develop strategic guidance for further activities.
In addition, the Review Conference will assess the status of implementation of the Convention and identify priority areas for the development of the OPCW in the coming years.
