President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev celebrates 70th anniversary


President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev celebrates his birthday on May 17. He turned 70 years old.
First time graduate of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) Tokayev led Kazakhstan in 2019, winning the early presidential elections with 70.96% of the vote. He also won the extraordinary presidential elections held on November 20, 2022, gaining 81.31% of the votes.
"Under your leadership, the Republic of Kazakhstan is consistently following the path of strengthening statehood and dynamic socio-economic development. In recent years, the country's authority in the international arena has significantly increased," President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov wrote in a congratulatory address to the Kazakh leader, highly appreciating his personal contribution to the development of traditionally friendly, strategic relations between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
"We rejoice in the successes of fraternal Kazakhstan achieved in recent years. Cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan is steadily expanding, enriching itself with new content. I am deeply convinced that the Turkmen-Kazakh strategic partnership will continue to strengthen in every possible way in the spirit of good neighborliness," Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wrote in a congratulatory message addressed to Tokayev.
