In Almaty, with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan, a press conference was held on the launch of the Central Asia Gateway regional trade facilitation portal and the export and international trade training program.

The portal was launched by the Ready4Trade — Central Asia project of the International Trade Center in order to support the development of intraregional and international trade in five Central Asian countries. The project is funded by the European Union.

The creation of a regional information center is dictated by the positive experience of launching and functioning of national trade promotion portals in Central Asian countries. In particular, Turkmenistan launched its national portal at the end of April this year.

The portal is designed to ensure transparency of cross-border regulatory requirements, eliminate regulatory and procedural barriers to trade, and contribute to the improvement of cross-border e-commerce. The Internet resource combines information obtained from national portals in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

The Central Asia Gateway Regional Trade Facilitation Portal will allow you to track progress in achieving trade facilitation goals.

In turn, the export and international trade training program is also part of the Ready4Trade regional project. It includes practical courses on trade legislation, export procedures and logistics for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in the region.

At the moment, 10 courses have been developed, 9 more are under preparation. 40 trainers have been trained by the International Trade Center to conduct face-to-face seminars.

In Turkmenistan, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of the country is responsible for conducting the training course.
