Kazan breaks records for the number of guests at KazanForum
Kazan is breaking records for the number of guests coming to the international economic forum "Russia — the Islamic World: KazanForum" starting on May 18. According to Maxim Denisov, General Director of ANO Directorate of Sports and Social Projects, the number of hotels in the capital of Tatarstan is overloaded on the days of the event.
"Our hotel fund is currently overloaded for the dates of the forum. It cannot but rejoice that the forum is interesting, people are coming to the forum, the forum is the center of attraction for so many friends, guests, partners of our republic and the city," he said.
He also added that unprecedented security measures will be observed at the forum. PCR testing points will be deployed in 14 locations in Kazan and Moscow.
Earlier, the head of the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan Taliya Minullina said that the largest delegations (over 100 participants) are expected from Azerbaijan, Iran, Malaysia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan.
The Turkmen delegation will also be represented at the forum; it will be headed by the Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Mammetkhan Chakyyev.
