EBRD President to speak at the Second EU—Central Asia Economic Forum
President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Odile Renaud-Basso will take part in the Second Economic Forum "Central Asia – European Union", which will be held on May 19 in Alma-Ata.
Valdis Dombrovskis, Executive Vice President of the European Commission for Trade and Economy, and Teresa Cervinska, Vice President of the European Investment Bank, are also expected to speak at the event.
The EBRD study on sustainable transport links between the EU and Central Asia will be presented at the Forum. Also among the topics to be discussed at the meeting are improving the business climate in the region by encouraging the private sector, stimulating the transition to green and digital technologies in Central Asia, expanding trade and transport links between the EU and Central Asia.
On May 18, the business part of the Forum will be held, which will provide a platform for meetings and discussions on topical issues of economic cooperation.
