Turkmenistan will send a representative delegation to the upcoming international economic forum "Russia — the Islamic World: KazanForum" in Kazan. This was stated by Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov during a telephone conversation with the head of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, according to the website of the RAISA RT.
The delegation will include heads of the industrial, transport and construction industries of Turkmenistan. The country's stand will also be organized at the KazanForum site.
The interlocutors discussed by phone the importance of organizing a round table on the development of new logistics corridors, such as North—South, on the sidelines of the forum.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Rustam Minnikhanov expressed their intention to further promote the expansion of bilateral ties in various fields, TDH writes.
The XIV International Economic Forum "Russia — the Islamic World: KazanForum" will be held at Kazan Expo on May 18-19. Earlier, by the decision of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the forum was given federal status, which increased interest in the event.
