Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov invited Emomali Rahmon and Rustam Emomali to Turkmenistan
Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon had a telephone conversation.
During the conversation, a range of issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed, special attention was paid to the results of the state visit of the President of Turkmenistan to Tajikistan, held on May 10-11. It was stressed that the package of bilateral agreements signed following the negotiations between the heads of the two states will give a new impetus to the development of cooperation.
The sides also noted the commitment of the parties to strengthen inter- parliamentary contacts as an important factor in expanding the mutually interested dialogue between the two countries.
The head of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov invited the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and the speaker of the upper house of the Tajik Parliament Rustam Emomali to visit Turkmenistan. The invitation was gratefully accepted, as reported in the evening news release of the Turkmen State Television.
The high-level Turkmen delegation is also expected at the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of Central Asian states and the summit of the founding countries of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea, which will be held in September 2023 in Dushanbe.
