Xi Jinping invited the President of Turkmenistan to the summit "Central Asia + China"
Special Representative of the President of the People's Republic of China, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of China Ma Zhaoxu conveyed to the President of Turkmenistan an invitation on behalf of Xi Jinping to participate in the upcoming May 18-19 summit "Central Asia + China". The meeting of the head of Turkmenistan with the Chinese diplomat took place on Saturday, May 13.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the prospects of bilateral cooperation. The importance of the talks held in Beijing in January this year between President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping, which became an important step towards the development of strategic partnership, was noted.
Turkmenistan and China cooperate productively in such priority areas as the trade and economic sphere, the fuel and energy complex and a number of other industries, where, taking into account the existing potential and capabilities, the application of common efforts is seen as the most effective, the Turkmenistan Today website says.
