The two-time world champion headed the national team of Turkmenistan in freestyle wrestling


Iranian specialist Reza Yazdani has been appointed the head coach of the Turkmenistan national freestyle wrestling team.
Two-time world champion Reza Yazdani and his assistants will take part in the preparation of Turkmen wrestlers for the upcoming international tournaments, including the Asian Summer Games-2023 in China, as well as the qualification stages for the Olympic Games-2024, ORIENT correspondent was informed in the Wrestling Federation of Turkmenistan.
In addition to Yazdani, the delegation included Asghar Bazeri and Mansur Ispailpour.
38-year—old Reza Yazdani is a two-time world champion (2011 and 2013), three-time champion of the Asian Games (2006, 2010, 2014) and Asia (2010, 2016, 2019). He started his career in the category up to 84 kg, but then moved to heavier weight categories.
