Turkmenistan was represented at the meeting of the Asian Blind Union in Tashkent


The Turkmen delegation took part in the next meeting of the Asian Blind Union in Tashkent. This is reported by the National News Agency of Uzbekistan.
Along with representatives from Turkmenistan, the meeting brought together over 60 delegates from more than 20 countries.
"The main purpose of the event is to create jobs for the blind, inform about new technologies, provide conditions for their sports, discuss issues of protecting their rights," Chairman of the Blind Society of Uzbekistan Ergash Norpulatov said in his speech.
The meeting also summed up the results of the Union's work over a five-year period. In addition, the participants elected a new head of the organization.
The main mission of the Asian Blind Union is to protect the interests of the blind, ensure their social support, rehabilitation, integration into society, as well as guarantee equal rights and life opportunities.
