Early voting in the presidential elections of Uzbekistan scheduled for July 9 will take place from June 28 to July 5, reports TASS with reference to the press service of the Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan.
In accordance with the Electoral Code of the Republic, a citizen who does not have the opportunity to be at his place of residence on the day of the elections can vote early. According to the representative of the Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan, for this he should write an application to the precinct election commission, indicating a valid reason for absence on the day of voting, for example — vacation, business trip, travel abroad, etc.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev has been nominated as a candidate for president of Uzbekistan from the Liberal Democratic Party of the country.
