A cultural and educational event was held in Kiev in honor of the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly
The staff of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Ukraine, together with V.Chernovol School No. 235 and the Magtymguly Kiev Library, organized a cultural and educational event in honor of the 300th anniversary of the Turkmen classic Magtymguly Pyragy.
Students of the school of the Ukrainian capital got acquainted with the life and work of the great poet and thinker, as well as with the rich culture of the Turkmen people, Embassy of Turkmenistan in Kiev informs.
Within the framework of the event, a book exhibition was organized, which presented scientific and artistic works, including the works of Magtymguly.
Also during the meeting, a training quiz was held and a discussion was held on various aspects of the multifaceted poetic heritage of the classic of Oriental literature. Guests could taste dishes of Turkmen cuisine. Students in national clothes enthusiastically recited the poems of Magtymguly in Ukrainian.
