Then the President of Russia received the Victory Parade from the central rostrum on Red Square. Together with him, the leaders of the CIS countries and veterans of the Great Patriotic War watched the solemn parade of troops.

“It is very important that the leaders of the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States have gathered here in Moscow today. I see in this a grateful attitude to the feat of our ancestors: they fought together and won together - all the peoples of the USSR contributed to the common Victory,” the Russian leader said, speaking at the parade.

The same idea was voiced in a festive address to the Turkmen people by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov: “Our brave compatriots, shoulder to shoulder with representatives of fraternal peoples, showed unparalleled valor, steadfastness and genuine heroism on the fields of the most fierce battle of the 20th century in the name of a peaceful and free life.”

After the end of the military parade on Red Square, Vladimir Putin, together with the heads of foreign states, laid flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Alexander Garden.
