Scientists of Turkmenistan and Tajikistan identified prospects for cooperation
The National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan hosted a meeting on the topic of scientific and technical cooperation between Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
Turkmenistan was represented at the meeting by Head of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan Allaberdi Ashirov, Chairman of the Central Council of the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Makhtumkuli Yazpolat Keriev, Vice President of the Humanitarian Association of World Turkmens, Executive Director of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Supporting Children in Need of Protection Rejep Bazarov, Rector of the the Oguz Khan Engineering-Technological University Gurbanmurad Mezilov, Director of the Technology Center of the Academy of Sciences Durdymurad Gadamov, Director of the Institute of Seismology and Atmospheric Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the country Guljemal Sariyeva, Director of the Institute of State, Law and Democracy of Turkmenistan Yagmyr Nuryev and other scientists.
The Tajik side was headed by President of the National Academy of Sciences Farkhod Rakhimi.
The parties considered the processes of introducing modern educational technologies into the educational process, innovative development of renewable energy industries. Separately, the importance of studying the biodiversity of medicinal plants and natural remedies was noted.
Exhibitions of books and publications of the academies were organized for the guests. At the end of the event, the parties adopted a resolution to further strengthen scientific, educational, cultural cooperation between Turkmenistan and Tajikistan.
The meeting was held on the eve of the first state visit of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Tajikistan and will give a new impetus to the development of cooperation between the scientific communities of the two countries.
