BOMCA 10 will support the Union of Economists of Turkmenistan in the implementation of a youth project in Dashoguz


As part of the first project competition among non–governmental organizations in Central Asia, the Border Management Program in Central Asia - Phase 10 (BOMCA 10) selected nine projects aimed at supporting border communities. This is reported on the program's website.
The selected 6-12-month projects are designed to support and empower the population of the border areas. Among them is the project of the public association "Union of Economists of Turkmenistan" (UET), which will work with the youth of the border areas of the Dashoguz region located on the border with Uzbekistan.
The UET project is aimed at improving the entrepreneurial skills of young people, including in the use of modern technologies and e-commerce. Special attention will also be paid to the intensification of cross-border cooperation with young people from the border regions of Uzbekistan.
In its 10th phase, BOMCA places an exceptional emphasis on improving cross-border cooperation aimed at improving the living conditions of people in border areas, strengthening the capacity of civil society and non-governmental organizations to support the local population.
