Turkmenistan will become a TRACECA member in autumn 2023
Turkmenistan may become a TRACECA member as early as this fall. This was stated by the Secretary General of the permanent secretariat of the intergovernmental commission of the program Aset Asavbayev, Trend reports.
"I would like to note that Turkmenistan, by joining this organization, will be able to accelerate the development of its transport sector, as well as the processes of digitalization of freight transportation. In addition, he will receive simplified access to 13 TRACECA member countries. In turn, new opportunities for the development of transport in Central Asian countries will open up," Asavbayev said.
TRACECA is an international cooperation program for the organization of the transport corridor "Europe — Caucasus — Asia". The main goal of the program is to connect the transport communications of the countries to form reliable supplies of goods from Central Asia to Europe and vice versa.
Earlier, Asevbayev noted that TRACECA pays great attention to the coordinated actions of countries in the creation of international corridors.
