Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the coronation of Charles III
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the coronation of the new King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Charles III and his wife Queen Camilla, TDH reports.
The Head of State was in the center of Westminster Abbey, Church House, where he met with the leaders of the British diplomatic corps.
Upon the return of the President, British Ambassador to Turkmenistan Lucia Wild noted that participation in the coronation ceremony of the new English monarch should open a new chapter in the history of interstate relations.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov said that the visit was an important step to strengthen Turkmen-British cooperation.
According to British media estimates, in total, the ceremony was watched by more than 2.2 thousand invited guests from 203 countries.
