Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty met with the head of the parliamentary delegation of the Republic of Korea
The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met on Monday with members of the parliamentary delegation of the Republic of Korea, which arrived in Ashgabat on a visit led by the head of the Korea-Turkmenistan Friendship Group, Lee Dal-Gon.
At the beginning of the meeting, the head of the Korean delegation expressed condolences to Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the death of his mother, Ogulabat Berdimuhamedova.
The Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty noted the importance of this visit and the negotiations planned within its framework for the development of inter-parliamentary dialogue, interaction in the legislative sphere and in other areas.
During the exchange of views on the state and prospects of cooperation, Lee Dal-Gon expressed the high interest of Korean companies in implementing projects in Turkmenistan, including in the gas industry, as well as in participating in the construction of the second phase of the city of Arkadag.
Lee Dal-Gon told the Turkmen National Leader about the meeting he had held before his arrival in Ashgabat with the director of the Seoul construction company, which is showing great interest in building a plant for the production of mineral fertilizers in the Balkan region.
