FIFA Training and Methodological Center may appear in the city of Arkadag
The President of the International Football Federation (FIFA), Gianni Infantino, spoke about the expediency of creating a FIFA training and methodological center in the city of state significance Arkadag.
This became known during the visit of the head of the Federation to Ashgabat, where he met with President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, TDH reports.
"Today, in the modern conditions of intensive industrial development, the role of sport in strengthening human health has increased more than ever, and all conditions have been created in your country for this," Infantino said in an interview with the head of state.
In turn, Serdar Berdimuhamedov said that Turkmenistan is ready to support FIFA's initiatives and proposals related to the development of world football. In addition, a proposal was made to use the sports infrastructure of Turkmenistan for various international football tournaments.
During the meeting, the FIFA President presented Serdar Berdimuhamedov with a gift — a personalized T-shirt, an official ball and a FIFA pennant, noting Turkmenistan's high contribution to the development of football and compliance of sports infrastructure with international standards.
Then the guest held talks with Deputy Prime Minister Nurmuhammet Amannepesov, with whom issues of further cooperation and development of the football movement in the country were discussed.
Also, members of the FIFA delegation met with young Turkmen football players and took a photo for memory. Then Gianni Infantino got acquainted with the megaproject of the "smart" city of Arkadag and visited the International Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex, where he attended the performance by the equestrian sports group "Galkynysh".
