A musical group from Turkmenistan will perform at a jazz festival in Dushanbe

The Turkmen group "Nepesov Trio" will take part in the VII Dushanbe International Ethno-Jazz Festival, which will be held from April 28 to May 1 in Dushanbe (Tajikistan).
The band, led by composer, conductor and pianist Rovshen Nepesov, also includes Ashir Veliyev (double bass) and Aram Bezikyan (drums). The performance of Turkmen musicians is scheduled for April 30.
The VII Dushanbe International Ethno-Jazz Festival will bring together famous jazz musicians from Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, France, Germany, Italy, Greece, the Czech Republic and Tajikistan.
One of the traditions of the festival is the creative interpretation and performance of "Homework" by all participants of the festival. This year, the Tajik folk song "Shahi Pari" by Laylo Sharipova, initiated by the artistic director of the festival, musician and composer Jasur Khalilov, has become a home preparation.
According to the official website of the festival, the audience will have creative meetings, master classes on ethno-jazz music, as well as a round table on the topic "Ethno-jazz as a dialogue in Central Asia".
The event will provide musicians with a platform to exchange ideas and is designed to inspire them to new musical collaborations and innovations, combining jazz with traditional Tajik music to create a unique and inspiring musical experience.
The purpose of the Dushanbe International Ethno-Jazz Festival is to strengthen international and regional cooperation in the field of culture and the development of musical genres.
