Turkmen specialists got acquainted with the platform "Leave no one behind"

Specialists of the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) conducted a training for Turkmen specialists on the analysis of the platform "Leave no one behind" (LNOB). This is reported on the website of the Office of the UN Permanent Coordinator in Turkmenistan.
The two-day training was attended by specialists from relevant ministries and departments, as well as UN agencies in Turkmenistan. They got acquainted with the internal structure of the LNOB platform and performed practical exercises on the use of statistical R-code. This code prepares, analyzes and outputs data on 16 SDG indicators based on a multi-indicator cluster observation (MICO) in Turkmenistan in 2019.
The participants also learned how to apply the methodology of the above-mentioned system for indicators other than the 16 SDG indicators that are now available on the platform.
"Leaving no one behind" is the central promise of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It means moving from assessing average and cumulative progress to ensuring progress for all population groups at a disaggregated level.
