Turkmen diplomats took a bike ride through Old Beijing

On the occasion of the International Labor Day, which is celebrated annually on May 1, the staff of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in China took an evening bike ride through the old part of Beijing. ORIENT was told about this in the Turkmen diplomatic mission.
Turkmen diplomats rode on two wheels along the Bell and Drum Towers of Beijing. In the past, both buildings were of great importance, as they were intended to regulate time: Pekingese woke up to the loud ringing of the bell and fell asleep after they heard the beating of drums.
The towers are located at a distance of one hundred meters from each other. An amazing panorama of the surrounding neighborhoods opens from their tops.
It should be noted that one of the largest bells hangs in the Bell Tower, which is rung only once a year — during the Chinese New Year.
