Horse holiday celebrated in Turkmenistan and best riders awarded
The main celebrations on the occasion of the National Day of the Turkmen Horse were held on Sunday at the International Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex. The event was attended by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Chairman of the Mejlis, government members and other leaders, representatives of foreign embassies and international organizations.
The great celebration included an exhibition of works of arts and crafts, an art vernissage, musical and sports performances. And the crown of everything - horse racing!
The main derby consisted of seven races at a distance of 1600 and 1800 meters. Prizes were established in each nomination. In the final race, the most cherished award was played - the presidential prize "Akhan" and the Challenge Cup.
In addition to the winners of the Sunday races, the winners of the show jumping and equestrian marathon competitions held the day before were announced. All were awarded prizes.
