The Turkmenistan national football team recognized its rivals at the CAFA Nations Cup 2023
The Turkmenistan national football team has recognized the opponents in the group for the first championship of the Football Association of Central Asia (CAFA), which will be held from June 10 to 20, the official website of the subfederation reports.
According to the results of the draw, the Turkmen team will play with Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Oman in group "A". Matches in this quartet will be held in Tashkent.
The national team of Turkmenistan will play its first match at the CAFA Nations Cup 2023 on June 11 against the national team of Tajikistan. In the second round, Turkmen football players will play against Uzbekistan. The final round of the group stage will bring the Turkmen team together with the national team of Oman on June 17.
The national teams of Iran, Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan will perform in group "B" in Bishkek.
According to the regulations, the group stage matches will be held in a round-robin system in one round. The winners of the two groups will meet in the final. The teams that became the second in their quartets will compete for the third place.
