On April 27, a Symposium of Observers of the Turkic world opened in Istanbul, designed to promote the exchange of experience, popularization of literature and culture of the Turkic peoples.

Turkmenistan is represented at the symposium by delegates from the ORIENT website of the Media-Turkmen news agency, Atavatan Turkmenistan magazine, the Turkmenportal information portal and the SalamNews online publication.

The symposium aims to strengthen the interaction of related Turkic peoples and takes place in various areas related to the language, literature, history, culture, education and gender issues of the Turkic world.

This year, at the event, delegates will discuss important issues related to the role of the media in the new century, defending national interests in the international arena, the importance of the Organization of Turkic States in the coming century, etc. Special attention will also be paid to energy cooperation.

The Symposium of Observers of the Turkic World has been held since 2014 on the initiative of the University of Niide Omer Halisdemir (Turkey) together with other universities from Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Tatarstan and Bashkortostan.
