"Turkmenpost" took part in the meeting of the RSS Commission on Postal Communications


Representatives of the Turkmenpost postal communication company took part in the next joint meeting of the RCC Commission on Postal Communications (Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications), the Council of RCC Postal Operators and their Working Groups, which was held in Minsk in a hybrid format. This is reported on the website of the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth.
The meeting was also held with the participation of representatives of the communications administrations of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Russia, Uzbekistan and full members of the Council of Postal Operators of the RCC.
The delegates discussed preparations for the Coordination Meeting with regional unions, which is scheduled to be held on May 10 in Bern, the Extraordinary Congress of the Universal Postal Union in 2023. The participants also got acquainted with the implementation of the UPU Regional Development Plan for 2022-2025 for Europe and Central Asia, the Agreement of the RSS Communications Administrations on the Organization of Postage Stamp Issues on the RCC theme.
The Regional Commonwealth in the field of communications as an interstate coordinating body was formed in accordance with the Agreement on the Coordination of Interstate Relations in the Field of Postal and Electric Communications of October 9, 1992. The agreement was signed by Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
The key activity of the RCC is to establish cooperation with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the Universal Postal Union (UPU) as a regional body.
