A forum on attracting investments in the energy sector of Turkmenistan has opened in Dubai


An international forum on attracting foreign investment in the energy sector of Turkmenistan has started its work in the largest city of the UAE.
The event brought together over 300 delegates representing government agencies, large companies, academic and business circles on one platform.
The forum is organized by the state concern "Turkmengaz", "Turumennebit", the state corporation "Turkmengeologiya" in partnership with the British GaffneyCline and ES "Turkmen Forum".
In his welcoming message to the forum participants, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed his conviction that this event will allow more actively attracting investments in the oil and gas sector of the country, establish and promote fruitful cooperation with leading foreign companies, introduce the latest scientific achievements into production.
The plenary session of the forum is devoted to the role of Turkmenistan in the future of global energy. The delegates will discuss the current state of projects implemented in Turkmenistan related to the development of hydrocarbon deposits, their transportation and the construction of high-tech processing enterprises.
UAE Minister of State Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Chairman of Turkmengaz state concern Batyr Amanov, President of the Middle East Company at CNPC Wang Guihai, Senior Vice President of Total Energies Laurent Vivier and others will speak at the plenary session.
On the first day of the forum, it is planned to hold three sessions that will be devoted to the investment opportunities of the Turkmen energy sector onshore, environmental aspects of the development of hydrocarbon deposits, as well as prospects for domestic and regional development of the energy market.
