Turkmen athlete Anastasia Morgenstern was awarded the highest standard award on the fourth day of the qualifying tournament for the World Championship, which takes place from April 18 to 22 in Tashkent.

As the Turkmenistan Aquatics Federation told ORIENT, Morgenstern won the gold medal in the 50-meter freestyle swim, covering the distance in 28.38 seconds.

This award was the second in Morgenstern's personal asset. Earlier, she was awarded the silver medal in swimming at a distance of 50 meters butterfly with a result of 30.72 seconds.

According to the results of the four days of the competition, the Turkmen swimmers have eight medals in their asset — four gold, three silver and one bronze.

It should be recalled that the composition of the Turkmen delegation for this tournament was formed by 15 people, including 12 swimmers. The men's team included: Merdan Atayev, Musa Jalayev, David Akopyan, Arslan Gayypnazarov, Eminguly Ballykov, Abdyrahman Agamuradov, and Selim Nazarov.

The women's team is represented by: Aynura Primova, Valeria Mirenskaya, Enesh Primova, Anastasia Morgenstern, and Ejesh Primova.

Turkmen swimmers perform under the leadership of Vladimir Novikov and Mark Pilyugin.

The tournament in Tashkent brought together 265 swimmers (196 men and 69 women) from Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan.
