Hungarian President intends to visit Turkmenistan in 2024


Hungarian President Catalina Novak expressed her desire to visit Turkmenistan in 2024 during a meeting with Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Hungary Hemra Amannazarov, who presented credentials to the head of state.
Noting the importance of relations between the two countries, Novak instructed the responsible persons of the presidential office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary to consider the preparation of the next visit, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Hungary reports.
During the meeting, the Turkmen diplomat conveyed warm greetings and best wishes to the head of the Hungarian People's Republic on behalf of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as well as Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
Hemra Amannazarov informed Catalina Novak about the latest achievements and successes of Turkmenistan, the country's potential for promoting high-level contacts.
Diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Hungary were established in May 1992. The Republic of Hungary has been a member of the Council of Europe since 1991, and has been a full member of the European Union since 2004.
