Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty and the President of Turkmenistan gave sadaka-agzachar
Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the day of commemoration of mother and grandmother Ogulabat Berdimuhamedova gave a charity dinner on Friday - sadaka-agzachar.
The event was held at the Hezreti Omar mosque in Ashgabat.
Before the meal, the Leader of the Nation Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov thanked his compatriots for the numerous condolences received in connection with the death of his mother. Telegrams with words of support and sympathy were also sent by leaders of other countries.
Ogulabat-edje possessed the best traits and qualities inherent in mothers. It is on maternal care that the universe is based, the Leader of the Nation said.
The ritual meal began and ended with appropriate prayers.
