Turkmenistan made a number of initiatives on further improvement of SPECA at this forum. At the same time, the importance of Turkmenistan's proposal put forward in 2019 for the institutional strengthening of the Program through the creation of the SPECA secretariat was emphasized, the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reports.

The Turkmen side also advocated the formation of new financial sources necessary for the implementation of SPECA's project and program activities. In this context, Turkmenistan's proposal to create a Multi-partner Transport Fund of SPECA was supported.

In addition, the Turkmen delegation called for the preparation of a resolution of the UN General Assembly dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the UN Special Program for the Economies of Central Asia.
