Another interesting project is to introduce students to musical styles and trends, composing technologies and innovations of the second half of the XX - early XXI centuries, as well as their practical implementation in creative, concert and research "laboratories". During the academic year, meetings with modern Turkmen composers are held within the framework of the program, author's lectures on individual techniques of modern composition are held, and works by domestic and foreign musicians are played at concerts.

Among the musical events, a concert-lecture on "The technique of modern composition in the works of Turkmen composers", organized on April 15 by the Department of Music Theory of TNC, "stood out". Shemshat Annaglyjova– a musicologist and head of the department, prepared a substantial theoretical part of the lesson, in which she presented an analysis of chamber and instrumental works by three outstanding Turkmen composers: Chary Nurymov, Rejep Rejepov and Dangatar Hydyrov. A visual presentation with unique photo, audio and film documents telling about the life and work of musicians, gave vivacity to the music lesson.

The concert part featured the piano quintet by Rejep Rejepov, dedicated to the memory of his close friend and composer Nury Halmamedov, and the string quartet No. 2 “In Memory of Indira Gandhi” by Chary Nurymov. By the way, the premiere of this work took place in Moscow, in the first days after the tragic death of an outstanding Indian politician.

The audience also heard one of Danatar Hydyrov's early compositions – Variations for String Quartet. In terms of psychological saturation, emotional content and performance skills, all these compositions are considered complex. Moreover, they were presented to the audience by the creative team of the Ashgabat Camerata under the guidance of a young teacher of the conservatory, a talented violinist Bahram Dollyev. The piano part was performed by Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Vladimir Mkrtumov.

The audience of the concert witnessed a unique phenomenon when everything coincided – the spiritual music, stunning in its beauty, depth and emotional saturation, the high professionalism of the performers, convincing and subtle interpretation of the works, as well as the amazing acoustics of the hall.
