Israeli Foreign Minister to visit Ashgabat for the first time on April 19


Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen will arrive in Ashgabat on the evening of April 19, becoming the first member of the Israeli government to visit the Central Asian state for the first time in 30 years, The Times of Israel reports.
On Thursday, the Israeli Foreign Minister is expected to hold talks with head of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, his counterpart Rashid Meredov and Minister of Agriculture and Environmental Protection Allanur Altyyev.
On the same day, the Minister will solemnly open the new building of the Israeli Embassy in Ashgabat and meet with representatives of the Jewish community of Turkmenistan.
The Minister will arrive in Turkmenistan from Azerbaijan.
