Organizers of the Youth Olympics-2024 in Gangwon-do are looking for volunteers


The Organizing Committee of the 2024 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Gangwon-do (Republic of Korea) has launched a program to recruit volunteers for the competition.
Continuing the legacy and spirit of volunteerism of the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, the organizers plan to attract two thousand volunteers in three different categories: professionals who are fluent in English; persons aged 19 and older; and young people aged 15 to 18.
The applications are accepted until May 31, 2023 by link.
The selected volunteers will have a unique opportunity to work in one of the four competition zones. Their activities will include support for athletes, media management, sports management, assistance at event venues. During the period of work, volunteers will be provided with uniforms, food and transport, and those who live outside the host cities will be provided with housing.
The first selection process will take place between June and July 2023. The second stage, which involves an interview, will take place from August to October 2023. During the same period, basic training of volunteers will be conducted. The final results of the selection will be known in October.
The 2024 Winter Youth Olympic Games will be held in Gangwon-do (South Korea) from January 19 to February 1. The competition is expected to bring together about 1,900 athletes from 81 national Olympic Committees.
