The global competition for the design of the zodiac sign of 2024 has started
The Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism and the Central Academy of Fine Arts of China (CAFA) invite you to participate in the global competition for the design of the zodiac of 2024 (the Year of the Dragon).
Candidates, educational institutions, companies, design studios and independent designers are invited to submit design works dedicated to the image and symbolism of the Chinese zodiac animal, which interpret their understanding of the culture of the Chinese zodiac.
The dragon is a unique spiritual symbol of the Chinese nation. He is the only mythical animal among the Twelve zodiac animals of the Celestial Empire.
Each work can be presented in several forms — 2D, 3D, web page design, user interface design, application design, a short video from an advertisement / movie / new media with a duration of 15 seconds to 3 minutes.
The works can be presented in the form of logos or themed posters, traditional handicrafts, clothing, accessories and textiles related to the Chinese dragon, etc.
Applications are accepted until July 10, 2023. To participate in the contest, you must register on the official website of the contest. It should be noted that the work should be accompanied by a brief description of the design idea, clarifying the source of inspiration.
The winners, who will be announced this summer, will be awarded cash prizes.
