China daily: "Meeting with China" media tour introduces foreign journalists to China
An international media tour "Meeting with China" has been launched in Haikou, the capital of South China's Hainan province, China Daily reports.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the "One Belt, One Road" initiative proposed by China. Therefore, as part of the tour, foreign and local journalists, employees of diplomatic missions, experts and other foreign guests, together with journalists from Chinese media, will visit Hainan to study the changes that have occurred in the country during this time. They will also get acquainted with the capabilities and potential of China for modernization.
The first route of the excursion, dedicated to the theme "Development of civilizational exchanges, promotion of mutual economic benefits", brought participants to the city of Haikou, Wuzhishan, Lingshui and Sanya. They visited the Guangdong-Hainan Railway Ferry Terminal, which is the first sea crossing in China, the historic streets of Haikou.
