The capacity of the border customs posts "Farap" and "Alat" on the Turkmen-Uzbek border will be increased to one thousand vehicles per day, the website of the Customs Department of Turkmenistan reports.

This possibility was discussed during a meeting of representatives of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan under the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

The meeting was also attended by the head of the customs post "Alat".

Having given a positive assessment of international cooperation on this section of the border, the participants identified further plans for the reconstruction and modernization of customs posts, which will contribute to an increase in traffic flows.
