Turkmenistan proposes to hold the Festival of Arts of the Peoples of Central Asia and Russia


Turkmenistan proposed to prepare a draft six-party framework agreement in the field of international information security and to hold the first Festival of Culture and Arts of the Peoples of Central Asia and Russia.
These proposals were voiced by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Vepa Khadzhiev at the 6th meeting of the heads of foreign policy departments of the countries of Central Asia and the Russian Federation in Samarkand.
The Turkmen side also noted the importance of creating a permanent business format of the "six" countries, stressed the need to implement the agreements reached between the presidents of the countries of Central Asia and Russia, as well as initiatives on cooperation in the field of political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation put forward during the Summit of the Heads of State of CA-RF held in October 2022, the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reports.
At the Samarkand meeting, the diplomats discussed the prospects for cooperation within the framework of the Central Asia-Russia dialogue on the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, energy, transport, humanitarian and migration tracks, as well as in the field of healthcare and the sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the population, considered key aspects of the international agendas and issues of regional security and stability.
The meeting participants agreed to actively continue work in the six-party ministerial format on a regular basis.
