Lu Ban workshop will be created at the International University of Oil and Gas


The establishment of the Lu Ban workshop at the International University of Oil and Gas was discussed by representatives of the university at a working meeting with representatives of the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), Xi'an Petroleum University and Hebei Petroleum Vocational University.
"Lu Ban Workshop" is an international cooperation project in the field of vocational education, founded by Tianjin University with the support of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. Currently, dozens of Lu Banya workshops have been created all over the world, which contribute to improving the level of training of local specialists and students.
The meeting considered specific tasks for the opening of the Lu Ban workshop in the Turkmen university, localization of the workshop's academic building and placement of modern laboratory equipment, discussed the specialization of educational and practical classes, curricula and programs, subjects, educational and practical equipment and provision of teachers.
The parties agreed to form a Turkmen-Chinese working group on the establishment of the Lu Ban workshop at the International University of Oil and Gas and conclude a corresponding Memorandum of Understanding.
The workshop is expected to train bachelors in the field of "Petroleum Engineering", "Petroleum Technologies", "Big Data Technologies", "Storage and transportation of oil and gas", "Geology", "Science and Engineering of New Energy", as well as masters in the specialties "Oil and gas Engineering", "Geology" and "Engineering of geological resources".
The Rector of the International University of Oil and Gas proposed at the meeting to train bachelors in the field of training "Information Security", professionals in the specialties "Electrification and automation of industrial facilities and technological complexes" and "Chemical technology of oil and gas processing", as well as masters in the specialty "Oil and gas business" in the workshop.
