Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Orazmukhammad Charyev invited the Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) Jasem Mohammed Albudaivi to the opening of the city of Arkadag, the website of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reports.
During the meeting, the Secretary General confirmed the GCC's desire to intensify the strategic dialogue with Turkmenistan. The parties discussed bringing regional cooperation to a new level through the use of the potential of interaction between Turkmenistan and the Council states.
The Secretary General of the GCC noted the importance of dialogue with Turkmenistan in the political, economic and cultural spheres for further strengthening the partnership relations of the Gulf states with the countries of Central Asia.
Earlier it was reported that in honor of the grand opening of the city of Arkadag, which has a special legal status, military parade and festive concert will be organized on the main square. Recently it became known about the launch of TV channel "Arkadag" and establishing the newspaper of the city.
