Turkmenistan is invited to Geneva to exchange of experience on digital and green transformations

The Turkmen delegation plans to participate in the 70th session of the UN Economic Commission for Europe, which will be held on April 18-19 in Geneva, Switzerland.
The theme of the forum is "Digital and Green Transformation for Sustainable Development in the Economic Commission for Europe Region".
Green transformation is essential to address pressing issues, including sustainable energy and low-carbon solutions, to combat climate change, biodiversity loss and reduce environmental pressures. Digital technologies open up new opportunities for economic development, policy implementation and public service management. They also offer opportunities for better management of natural resources and facilitate the transition to a circular economy by filling information gaps, increasing efficiency and enabling new forms of economic activity, including changes in production and consumption patterns.
This topic is also extremely relevant for Turkmenistan, where they began to implement the concept of "smart" cities, the first of which was the city of Arkadag, which rose in the foothills of the Kopetdag.
The 70th session of the Commission will bring together ministers and deputy ministers from the UNECE region and provide member states with an opportunity to exchange experiences on digital and environmental transformation for sustainable development, consider economic integration and cooperation.
