International Testing Agency establishes partnership with Central Asian countries

The International Testing Agency (ITA) has concluded a partnership agreement with the Regional Anti-Doping Organization for Central Asia (RADOCA).
The cooperation is designed to facilitate the exchange of operational data and stimulate effective planning of doping control in the region. Within the framework of the agreement, cooperation in the field of anti-doping education will also be established.
"We are very pleased to welcome the Regional Anti—Doping Organization for Central Asia as partners and to work more closely with them in the future," ITA Director General Benjamin Cohen said, noting that this structure represents countries that are very important for sports.
In turn, RADOCA Director Venera Abdullah added that the regional organization is making every effort to create anti-doping capacity and strengthen anti-doping programs in the member states.
The World Anti-Doping Agency founded the Regional Anti-Doping Organization (RADO) Program in 2004 to strengthen the protection of clean sport through innovative anti-doping strategies. Currently, there are 12 RADOS, uniting 119 countries in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Latin America and Oceania.
The Regional Anti–Doping Organization for Central Asia, RADOCA, is responsible for promoting and coordinating efforts in the field of clean sports for eight countries - Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
It was founded by the National Olympic Committees and representatives of the Governments of the member countries in 2006. The headquarters of the organization is located in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
