A new Chairman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan has been elected
Dunyagozel Akmuhammedovna Gulmanova was elected Chairman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan of the seventh convocation at its first session, held on Thursday, April 6.
All 125 members of Parliament voted unanimously for her candidacy.
Gahryman Roziyev was elected to the post of Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis.
Eight committees were approved in the structure of the Mejlis: on the protection of human rights and freedoms; on legislation and its norms; on economic issues; on social policy; on science, education, culture and youth policy; on environmental protection, nature management and agro-industrial complex; on international and inter-parliamentary relations; on work with local authorities. Representative government and self-government.
