Turkmenistan and TURKSOY are preparing joint events
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a video meeting with Secretary General of the International Organization of Turkic Culture Sultanbay Raev.
During the meeting, a wide range of issues of cooperation between Turkmenistan and TURKSOY was discussed, the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reports.
Rashid Meredov and Sultanbay Raev exchanged views on organizing joint events in Turkmenistan in the current and next year, 2024, which is declared by TURKSOY as the Year of the great poet and thinker of the Turkic world Makhtumkuli Fragi, and the ancient Turkmen city of Anau is the cultural capital of the Turkic world for the same year.
And in 2023, the International Organization of Turkic Culture celebrates its 30th anniversary, in connection with which various events will be held in the member countries of the organization. In particular, as previously reported, Turkmenistan will host the Days of Culture of TURKSOY in June.
