Learning foreign language stimulates mental activity, increases the ability to concentrate, shapes wide worldview, helps to improve memory, and promotes progress in professional life. Many people associate language learning with the extensive time spent. But you can learn a foreign language without it. Moreover, if you have the right methods and strategy, you can learn a foreign language less than 90 days.

1. Use what you already know

You probably have certain knowledge that will make your language learning experience easier. For example, if you can speak French, then you will learn Spanish faster. This is because grammar rules and vocabulary are very similar in these two languages. But if you try to learn Chinese, this can take a lot of time.

2. Know the shortcuts

We can use shortcuts in certain languages to accelerate learning. One of these techniques, created by Tim Ferris, shows eight sentence structures related to one theme “I'm giving John an apple.” 1. The apple is red. 2. It is John's apple. 3. I give John the apple. 4. We give him the apple. 5. He gives it to John. 6. She gives it to him. 7. I must give it to him. 8. I want to give it to him. Translating these eight sentences into the language you want to learn, you will learn: - How sentences are constructed; - How and where additions and definitions are used; - How to distinguish the words of the male and female gender; - How to use conjugation of the verbs, etc. Here is an example of this technique shown in English and French:

3. Remember the most used words

Let's take the Russian language as an example: - The 75 most used words make up 40% of the entire speech; - 200 most used words - 50%; - 524 most used words - 60%; - 1257 most used words - 70%; - 2925 most used words - 80%; - 7444 most used words - 90%; - 13374 most used words - 95%; - 25508 most used words - 99%. This means that you can learn about 500 of the most used words and understand 60% of the whole speech. This is quite enough to understand well what native speakers say. To accelerate the memorization of words, you can use techniques such as mnemonics.

4. Immersion

When learning a foreign language, your goal is to immerse yourself as deeply as possible into it. This means that you should regularly watch TV programs and films in this language, read books, listen to radio or songs, and even try to think in a new language. The main thing here is not to force yourself to do things that you do not normally do. If you prefer to watch movies than read books, you should switch on subtitles in the language you are learning and continue watching movies. This will allow you to immerse yourself in the language you are studying in your everyday routine.

5. Take time for classes

Planning a day is very useful, it helps to increase productivity. Proper planning and regular lessons will help you learn languages. We recommend studying, repeating and practicing every day for 30 minutes. Daily repetition will quickly enter into your habit and make you more responsible.

6. Speak

A familiar situation for all who study a foreign language: we understand what we read and hear, but communication with a native speaker remains a difficult test. Just as you learned to ride a bicycle as a child, a quick way to learn a language is to use it in practice. Try to speak this language, even with mistakes. Use every opportunity to talk with a native speaker, communicate in this language with other people, with friends, with acquaintances who are also learning this language. Meeting and communicating with people who speak a foreign language can help you a lot in studying it.
