A meeting with the ambassadors of the CIS member states was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan

Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Bakhromjon Aloev held a consultation meeting in Tashkent on Monday with diplomats of the CIS states - Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Russian Federation, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, represented by Ambassador Yazguly Mammedov. This is stated in the press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The Tashkent meeting with diplomats precedes the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States, which will be held on April 14 in Samarkand. In this regard, the parties exchanged views on organizational and protocol issues and the thematic content of the talks of the CIS foreign ministers.
However, the heads of the Foreign Ministries of the Commonwealth countries will arrive in Uzbekistan a day earlier to participate in the ministerial meeting on April 13 on Afghanistan, which will also take place in Samarkand. In addition to the foreign ministers of the Central Asian countries and Russia, the meeting will be attended and represented by the border states of Afghanistan - the heads of the foreign affairs departments of China and Pakistan, the report says.
