Chinese Foreign Ministry: China firmly supports Turkmenistan in its pursuit of development path
“We congratulate Turkmenistan on the successful holding of the elections of deputies of the Mejlis (parliament) of the 7th convocation. As a friendly neighbor and all-round strategic partner, China firmly supports Turkmenistan in following the path of development in line with its national realities,” Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said at a press conference on Tuesday, April 4, answering a question from People's Daily about about how China will comment on the recent parliamentary elections in Turkmenistan.
“We believe that under the leadership of President Serdar Berdymukhammedov, Turkmenistan will find strong stability and achieve development goals as part of its strategy “The Revival of a New Era of a Powerful State,” she said.
