Trading on SCRMET: licorice roots and cotton yarn are sold for export


On Monday, April 3, 4 transactions totaling over $1 million and 252 thousand Turkmen manats were made at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan, ORIENT correspondent reports.
Businessmen from China and the UAE purchased a total of 2 thousand tons of unpeeled dried licorice roots for $ 1 million. The cost of each ton of products was estimated at $500.
An entrepreneur from Ireland bought 12.6 thousand kg of cotton yarn for $24.5 thousand. A businessman from Turkey signed a contract for the supply of 8.4 thousand kg of cotton yarn for 252 thousand TMT.
