Foreign Minister Eli Cohen's visit to Ashgabat is scheduled for April 20. This is stated in the report of the Jerusalem online newspaper The Times of Israel on Sunday evening.
After Azerbaijan opened its embassy in Israel last week, Foreign Minister Eli Cohen will leave for Baku shortly. He is due to fly out on April 18 and is expected to meet with President Ilham Aliyev and Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov the following day.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry is also exploring the possibility of Cohen flying to Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, on April 20 to open an Israeli embassy there, The Times of Israel reported.
