Turkmenistan has established a new newspaper, Arkadag, which will be published in the Turkmen language once a week. The resolution on this was signed by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The document was published in the news release of the national State Radio and Television.

The new edition is aimed at popularizing the successes and achievements of Turkmenistan, as well as informing the general public about the activities to create and develop the new city of Arkadag, which received the status of a "smart" city.
